The Meerut hot water spring<\/span>, located near the IIMT University<\/span> campus, is more than just a geological wonder \u2014 it\u2019s a living story of discovery, dormancy, and revival. Nestled in Gangangar\u2019s F-Block, this natural heritage site symbolizes the deep cultural roots and environmental richness of the region.<\/p>\n

The tale of the hot water source in Meerut<\/span> dates back to 1996<\/strong>, when a land survey supported by the World Bank<\/strong> led to a surprising discovery. During boring at a depth of 778 meters<\/strong>, naturally hot water emerged at a temperature of around 50\u00b0C<\/strong> \u2014 a rare phenomenon in western Uttar Pradesh.<\/p>\n

Locals were astonished by the spring\u2019s medicinal and healing qualities<\/strong>, often comparing it to the renowned hot water sources in Rishikesh<\/strong> and Badrinath Dham<\/strong>. People believed that the water could cure stomach and skin ailments<\/em>, and soon it became a center of local attraction and faith.<\/p>\n

In 1998<\/strong>, the site received formal recognition under the leadership of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee<\/strong> and was inaugurated by Central Agriculture Minister Sompal Shastri<\/strong>. The event marked a proud chapter in Meerut\u2019s history.<\/p>\n
