Department of Home Science in the School of Hotel Management, Catering & Tourism of IIMT University, Meerut provides under graduate program B.SC (Home Science -Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics) and Post-Graduate M.SC (Home Science -Food and Nutrition). Home science with the specialisations in Clinical nutrition and Dietetics provides a strong foundation in arts as well as in science.
Home Science is a distinctive field which involves interdisciplinary perspective in gaining knowledge from Physical, Biological, Social, Science, Arts and Humanities. It focuses at attaining and maintaining the welfare of home, social and family life in the society. A Study of Home Science helps to evolve proper frame of mind for developing interest to assume leadership of home activities and study the foundation of health, nutrition, family relationships and hygiene etc. IIMT University’s home science department enhances the Intellectual and Creativity level of the students and bring a Qualitative change in the students which they can apply both practically and theoretically in their real life.

The IIMT University has been established under Uttar Pradesh Act Number 32 of 2016. Gazette notified by the Government of Uttar Pradesh Dated 16 September, 2016. As per procedure for establishment of any state private university as outlined in the act, the university shall promulgate its ordinances and statues/rules and regulations for conduct of various programs.
