SoCSA organized an Orientation program to initiate the integration of newly admitted first year
students into academic, cultural, and social climate of the University. This program designed in way
to help new undergraduates understand the nature of the University, the educational opportunities
available to them, the values and functions of the University community, and the central objective of
the University as an academic enterprise. It also motivatesstudents to participate in academic and
campus activities to enhance their skills, promote them for team work and inculcate new aspects of
professional life with new opportunities within University life.
The following activities designed for SoCSA orientation Program to Welcome all BCA and BSc.
Computer Science students

Time 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

The SoCSA orientation program began on 12 September 2022 at 10:00 AM with the welcome of the
students, faculty members and Chief Guest of the event Dr Mukesh Sharma, the Directorof the
Electronics & ICT Academy (E & ICT Academy) at IIT Kanpur, who graced the occasion with his
presence. Followed next was lamp lighting ceremony accompanied by Sarasvati Vandana. Next, a
brief description of the institute, which included the motto, history and reputation of college along
with recent achievements was given by the Respected HOD Ma’am Ms. Rachna Chaudhry.Then Dr.
Mukeshalso mentor the students for the deep drive knowledge about specialization programs offered
by E&ICT, their practical aspects and industrial needs. Mr. Vaibhav Sharma was take next session
and brief the Research and Development Activities, Incubation centre specialities and their working
among all students present in seminar hall. Last but not the least Ms. Ekta Sharma the Head of
Training and Placement at IIMT university take a learning oriented motivation session with key
learning facts like creativity, creative thinking and growth mind-set skills and encourage self-
confidence. During the program senior students presents different cultural programs to present
Creativity, diversity and artistic quality. Finally, the program has been concluded by the Anchors
Khushi and Priyanshi students of BSc 2 year with Vote of Thanks by HOD Ma’am.
