REPORT

IIMT Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital, Meerut established under IIMT University Meerut
UP in academic session 2021-2022 under recognition granted by Central body NCISM the first batch
of BAMS (Ayurvedacharya) has been admitted with full strength of 60 admission capacity of
students.

Under the direction of NCISM as the schedule for transitional curriculum orientation program
had been provided, with a few change in dates a 15 day program of induction has been conducted by
this institute it has been commenced on 11/04/22 and got finalized on 26/04/22. The program was
graced by Dr. Sunil Joshi (MD Surgery) V.C. Deheradun University and Vd. T.C. Sharma Delhi. The
program was also attended by honorable Chancellor Mr. Yogesh Mohan, Vice Chancellor Dr.Deepa
and MD Mayank Agarwal. The following faculty were also present to grace the event, Dr Rakesh
Pawar, Dr S.K Tawar, Dr Anjali, Dr Shawn, Dr Shazia, Dr Kulsoom, Dr Neha, Dr Parikshit, Dr Ritu
other including all paramedical staff and peons.
The event was blessed with the speech by Dr Sunil Joshi (MD Surgery) V.C. Deheradun
University followed by a captivating speech by Dr Yogesh Mohan Gupta, hon’ble Vice Chancellor of
IIMT University, Meerut. The Program ended with few cultural programs conducted for the student
and thus finished with a happy note.

The program commenced on 11-04-22 with an introductory speech about the institute by Dr.
Sandeep Kumar following guest lectures by Vd. Tarachand Sharma and Dr. Sunil Joshi( VC
Uttarakhand University). The next day program on 12-04-22 commenced with tour campus by Dr.
Sachin following Institutional Officials and their roles in the hierarchy by Mr. Sandeep Verma and
Rules and regulations of the campus, code of conduct, And Dress codes, if any by Dr. Surendra
Tanwar. The next day 13-04-22 started with an introduction to various medical systems by Dr.
Shimmi and lectures by Dr. Sandeep Garud on Ayurveda’s National and international reach, higher
education in Ayurveda, Job opportunities, entrepreneurship, etc. and a Sanskrit lecture by Dr,
Ishendra Parashar. On 14-04-22, an overview of the BAMS curriculum and the subjects, including
highlights of the minimum standards of education-2021had been presented by Dr. Bhumica Bodh
and a lecture on Basics of anatomy was given by Dr. Sazia. The program for the day concluded by a
Sanskrit by Dr. Ishendra. The program of the day on 15-04-22 started with Sanskrit speech by Dr.
Ishendra followed by a speech by Dr. Vikas Prajapati on orientation of regulatory/governing bodies
(Ministry of Ayush, NCISM, Affiliated Universities, State Commisionerate/Directorate, etc) and
Introduction of their heads the program concluded with a guest lecture by Dr. Anubha
Chaudhary(Medical Officer Govt. of U.P.). On 16-04-22, a gender Senstisation was presented by Dr.
Neha followed by introduction to ASUS(Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, and Sowa-Rigpa) Medical Systems
and their roles in primary health care, public health. The disease prevention was put forth by Dr.
Suman Meghwal and the day was concluded with guest lecture by Dr. Vinod Lavaniya9 CCRAS,
Govt. of India). On 18-04-22 the day started with orientation to learning, collaborative learning,
