We are seeking a highly accomplished and visionary Senior Professor of Engineering to join our esteemed Oranization. The ideal candidate will possess an exceptional academic and research profile, strong leadership qualities, and the ability to take on additional administrative responsibilities. The selected candidate may be considered for Director, Dean, or similar senior academic leadership roles based on performance and institutional requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and postgraduate engineering courses with excellence.

Guide and mentor students in academic, research, and career development activities.

Supervise M.Tech/Ph.D. scholars and research projects.

Develop innovative teaching methodologies, labs, and curriculum enhancements.

Maintain strong research output through publications, funded projects, patents, and industry collaboration.
Administrative & Leadership Responsibilities

Provide academic leadership and strategic direction to departments and faculty teams.

Oversee academic planning, NAAC/NBA accreditation processes, and quality assurance initiatives.

Manage departmental operations, faculty development, timetables, and workload planning.
-
Coordinate with industry partners, institutions, and government bodies for collaborations.

Contribute to policy-making, institutional growth, and strategic planning.

Ensure smooth functioning of academic and administrative activities of the college/department.
Research, Innovation & Outreach

Lead major research initiatives, centre of excellence activities, and interdisciplinary projects.

Pursue grants from national/international funding agencies.

Build strong linkages with industry for internships, consultancy, and placements.

Represent the university at academic conferences, seminars, and professional bodies.
Qualifications & Experience

Ph.D. in Engineering (any core/specialized discipline) from a reputed university/institute.

Minimum 10–15 years of academic experience with strong research credentials.

Proven record of publications (SCI/Scopus), patents, funded projects, and academic contributions.

Prior experience in administrative roles such as HoD, Dean, Director, or equivalent will be an added advantage.

Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
