School of Agricultural Sciences (SoAS), IIMT University Meerut is among the best agriculture sciences school in North India. SoAS IIMT University, Meerut started in the year 2018 and is emerging as India’s best agricultural school to pursue B.Sc. Agr (H). It has been showing an increasing trend in number of admission since 2018. SoAS is situated in a lush green sprawling location having luxuriant & luscious vegetation which provides it a congenial niche. The School has adopted an innovative and vibrant curriculum constituted by India’s apex body; The Indian Council for Agriculture Research (ICAR).
The curriculum is delivered using audio-visual teaching aids for programmed learning, lectures, seminars and interactive sessions. Faculties are well acquainted with innovative pedagogy and curricular knowledge which makes IIMT University as one of the top 10 university in UP. It has a big Agricultural Farm with smart and Hi-tech Agri-inputs for hands-on training along with field trips that are arranged for experiential learning. The curriculum includes managerial inputs incorporating contemporary value-added aspects such as Analytics for Rural Development, Smart Warehousing for perishable stock, Micro-Financing, collaborative buying which provides graduates with additional learning opportunities and job alternatives. Thus, students are industry-ready because of the confluence of basic managerial abilities and industry-specific information.
Functions such as agro product marketing, supply chain management, distribution management, warehouse management, rural marketing & entrepreneurship, and agricultural goods and material procurement assists students in establishing challenging careers in agriculture and related industries, which have been growing rapidly in India from the past decade.

Nowadays, agriculture has become an industry to produce food, fiber, spices, flower etc. and many other products by rearing cattle or livestock. The growth in agriculture has grown tremendously due to the sustainable production of food for human and livestock with continuous innovation in the industry along with challenges towards food security. Consequently, a career in agriculture has become one of the preferred choices among aspirants. There are several institutes rendering higher education in agriculture having their own modifications as per area needs in curricula, but the school of Agricultural Sciences, IIMT University Meerut, has adopted innovative and vibrant curriculum constituted by India’s apex body ICAR with slight modification focusing and fulfilling student’s professional need. Our course is delivered by competent faculty adopting knowledge based methods using audio-visual teaching aids for programmed learning. Village Fields and industrial trips are arranged on a regular basis for practical learning and to provide the knowledge of the rural farming community along with industries through Rural Agricultural Work Experience (RAWE) and Agric Industrial Attachment to our students.
