USR Club at IIMT University, Meerut
Introduction of the USR (University Social Responsibility) Club
IIMT University, Meerut, is very firm regarding spreading the essence of social responsibilities among the youth of the society. This club is governed by the USR (University Social Responsibility) Cell of IIMT University. USR actually means Social Entrepreneurships by the Youth and for Societal Upliftment. In a broad way, it is defined as creating a difference in the economic and social well-being of our society with the help of the self-driven and motivating attitude of the students and faculty members. USR also aims to motivate society to share their ideas and innovations with us.
The core mission of the USR Club is to align with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and work to achieve all 17 of these goals. The nature of activities organized under the umbrella of USR includes awareness camps, societal campaigns, skits, workshops for the underprivileged sections of society, and addressing different societal needs. The USR Cell is aligned with the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell (UBA Cell) of IIMT University to work in the fulfillment of societal needs.
Aims and Objectives of the USR Club
- The prime purpose of the USR Club is to deliver members of the club with information and experiences relating to the field of social work.
- To make a sustainable future.
- To create equal opportunity and diversity in such a way where diversity is treated uniformly and fairly, as India is a big bio-diversified nation.
- To serve the society with the aim of Seva Parmo Dharma.
- To provide solutions at the grassroots level to the underprivileged sections of society.
- To spread awareness among the children about their responsibility towards nature and the nation, also develop the attitude of Right Choice, Right Decision, and Right Direction, which aligns with the objective of UBA-IIMTU, i.e., Smart Village, Self-Reliant, and Self-Sustainable Village.
Rules and Regulations of the USR Club
- The University Social Responsibility Cell shall implement activities and programs of the club, aimed at enhancing values among students.
- The club will meet no less than twice (2) times per month.
- Special meetings may be called by the Chairperson, Advisor, or President if needed.
- This club is for students and by students.
- An annual calendar should be released by the club.
- All necessary arrangements for organizing the activities are maintained by the club.
