IIMT University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in Ayurveda. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of Ayurvedic principles, clinical skills, and teaching abilities. The role includes teaching undergraduate students (BAMS), conducting practical/clinical demonstrations, engaging in research, and participating in departmental academic activities.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Academic Duties

Teach BAMS students according to the curriculum prescribed by NCISM.

Conduct lectures, practical sessions, tutorials, and clinical demonstrations.

Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and academic modules.

Evaluate students through internal assessments, assignments, and examinations.
Clinical Responsibilities
-
Supervise students during OPD/IPD rounds in the Ayurvedic hospital.

Guide students in preparing case histories, treatment plans, and diagnosis.

Provide patient care aligned with Ayurvedic standards and principles.

Support clinical training, Panchakarma practice, and herbal medicine application where applicable.
Research & Publications

Participate in departmental research projects, seminars, workshops, and academic events.

Publish research papers in Ayurvedic/medical journals (preferred).

Encourage students to engage in research and scholarly activities.
Administrative & Departmental Activities

Assist in curriculum development, data preparation, and academic documentation.

Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and academic planning.

Maintain student records, attendance, and academic files.
Student Mentoring

Guide and mentor students on academic, clinical, and professional development.

Promote ethical Ayurvedic practice and holistic healthcare principles.
Qualifications & Eligibility (as per NCISM norms)

BAMS degree from a recognized university.

MD/MS (Ayurveda) in the concerned subject from a recognized institution.

Registration with State/CCIM/NCISM as applicable.

Freshers and experienced candidates both may apply (as per NCISM faculty norms).
