Job Description:
IIMT University invites applications from qualified and experienced professionals for the position of Assistant / Associate / Professor in Bachelor of Optometry. The selected candidate will play a key role in teaching, research, clinical training, and overall academic development in the field of Optometry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in core Optometry subjects.

• Conduct clinical demonstrations and supervise students in vision screening, refraction, contact lens fitting, ocular health assessment, and related areas.

• Develop, update, and implement curriculum aligned with industry standards and regulatory bodies.

• Mentor students in academic projects, internships, and clinical research.

• Facilitate community outreach programs such as eye camps, vision screening, and public awareness activities.

• Supervise clinical laboratories and ensure adherence to safety and ethical standards.

• Engage in research, publish in reputed journals, and contribute to academic growth.

• Collaborate with hospitals, eye care institutions, and industry partners for training and innovation.

• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and accreditation processes.

Skills and Competencies:

• Comprehensive knowledge of Optometry subjects including optics, ocular diseases, contact lenses, and vision science.

• Strong clinical skills with hands-on expertise in patient care and diagnostic procedures.

• Excellent communication, teaching, and mentoring abilities.
