IIMT University seeks an experienced, visionary, and dynamic academic leader for the position of Pro Vice-Chancellor (PVC). The PVC will support the Vice-Chancellor in providing strategic direction, academic leadership, policy implementation, and institutional growth across all faculties. This role requires extensive experience in higher education leadership, accreditation, research development, and academic governance.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Leadership

Assist the Vice-Chancellor in developing and executing the academic vision and strategic plan of the University.

Oversee academic quality, curriculum development, program review, and faculty development initiatives.

Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies such as UGC, AICTE, PCI, NMC, and others.

Strengthen interdisciplinary and industry-driven academic programs.
Research & Innovation
-
Promote a research-driven culture across all departments and faculties.
-
Guide development of Centres of Excellence, research collaborations, and funded projects.
-
Support faculty and students in publications, patents, innovations, and international collaborations.
Administrative Oversight
-
Provide leadership in academic administration and general operations of the university.

Guide Deans, Directors, and Heads of Departments in academic and administrative planning.

Oversee accreditation processes (NAAC, NBA, NIRF, ISO) and ensure quality benchmarks.

Manage academic audits, regulatory documentation, and policy implementation.
Student Development & Welfare

Promote student-centric initiatives including placements, skill development, mentoring, and innovation ecosystems.

Ensure effective implementation of student services, grievance redressal, and campus discipline.

Enhance student engagement through academic clubs, cultural activities, and industry interaction.
External Relations & Outreach

Represent the university in academic forums, national/international conferences, and industry platforms.

Build partnerships with universities, industries, and research organizations.

Lead MoUs, collaborations, and global engagement activities.
Governance & Policy Formation

Contribute to the development of academic policies, regulations, and institutional frameworks.

Participate in statutory bodies such as Academic Council, Board of Studies, and Executive Council.

Ensure transparency, accountability, and good governance practices.
Qualifications & Experience

Ph.D. in a relevant discipline from a recognized university.

Minimum 15–20 years of academic experience with strong research credentials.

Significant leadership experience as Dean, Director, Pro-VC, or senior academic administrator.

Strong understanding of national and international higher education systems.

Proven track record of publications, funded projects, and academic leadership.
