About Department
The Department of Allied Medical Sciences was founded with the goal of developing qualified workers in the various fields of biomedical sciences in order to improve the healthcare delivery in the country. The key role of allied health professional is to strengthen medical and health services by serving as a significant aiding support system for primary medical and health care providers in treating the patients in their sickness and improving the societal health. The course structure and curriculum of the department's many academic programmes and courses have been established and designed by famous academics and professionals with the current and future demands of the medical services and health industry in mind. This would help the graduates to satisfy the growing expectations and technologically focused health care demands. The Department of Allied Medical Sciences plays a vital role in the modern health environment. The department provides the best possible learning environment for its students through classroom instructions, clinical and community exposure, as well as discussions, seminars and journal clubs on the most recent advances in the field, guided tours and internships at prestigious institutions. After successfully completing the course, highly trained professionals from the department and its affiliated hundred-bedded hospital contribute to high-quality healthcare services in the country and abroad by practising and using the knowledge gained. Under the umbrella of IIMT College of Medical Sciences, this department is offering Physiotherapy, Medical Laboratory Technology and Optometry. The department is equipped with learned and experienced faculty members, state of the art laboratories and infrastructure. Constant attention is paid on academics, discipline and holistic development of the students. We consider each student as our own Child and the mentor-mentee system is the testimony to it. The IIMT University has been established under Uttar Pradesh Act Number 32 of 2016. Gazette notified by the Government of Uttar Pradesh Dated 16 September, 2016. As per procedure for establishment of any state private university as outlined in the act, the university shall promulgate its ordinances and statues/rules and regulations for conduct of various programs.
