School of Hotel Management Catering & Tourism (SoHMCT) organised an Alumni Connect on “Opportunities and Challenges on gender roles in entrepreneurship in the Hospitality sector” on 11th January 2023. The expert for this session was Ms. Kanika Agrawal alumni of 2012 batch. She is currently working as Managing Director in Chotiwala Food & Restaurant Pvt. Ltd. She talked on the importance of inter-disciplinary learning and how it will help to excel on the job from day one. Ms. Akanksha presented the welcoming message and introduced the guest of the day. The SoHMCT deputy dean Mr. Nirbhay Kumar spoke few words of appreciation about the guest. This event was a huge success with more than 74 current students participating in this event. Ms. Agarwal made the students aware about the necessity and the need of the network building to excel in one’s career and in personal life. She shared her own experience of life during and after the graduation. She said students can gain a good knowledge about ideation, benefits of taking inter-disciplinary courses and importance of the network building while completing their education. It was truly a knowledgeable session for all the participants. We are thankful to Ms. Kanika Agarwal for taking time out from her busy schedule and sharing her wisdom with us and making this event very interactive and informative.
