Swami Vivekananda's emphasis on spirituality, education, and service to society aligns with numerous national initiatives promoting holistic development. Inspired by Swamiji’s teachings, the U.P. government has decided to make Uttar Pradesh a digitally active state. For the technical empowerment of the state'syouth,the government will take necessary steps. The government has decided to distribute tablets or smartphones to students in different sections of the state under SWAMI VIVEKANANDA YOUTH EMPOWERMENT SCHEME. Under this scheme, students enrolled in various higher education programs, including graduate, postgraduate, diploma, skill development, paramedical, and nursing programs, will benefit from this scheme. The state government will distribute tablets/smartphones to students through their respective university/college/institute.

The government-led initiative thatdistributes smartphones to university students offers numerous benefits. Firstly, they bridge the digital divide, ensuring equal access to educational resources. Smartphones facilitate online learning, enabling students to access e-books, lectures, and research materials anytime, fostering a more flexible and inclusive education system. This initiative enhances communication between students and educators, promoting collaboration and timely feedback.

Additionally, smartphones equip students with essential digital skills crucial for the modern workforce. By investing in technology for education, governments can support academic success, improve employability, and contribute to the overall development of a digitally literate and competitive workforce.Thegovernment is promoting digital education, ensuring widespread access to quality education, and fostering digital literacy for the technologically advanced future of our youth.

On January 12, 2024, on behalf of the U.P. Government and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanathji, Mr. Raghvendra Kumar Mishra (S.P. Traffic Meerut), and on January 17, 2024, the Minister of Animal Husbandry and Dairy, Shri. Dharampal Singh, along with IIMT University's Pro-Chancellor Dr. Mayank Agarwal distributed smartphones to the IIMT students. IIMT University is known as the best private university in Meerut due to its commitment to quality education, experienced faculty, and modern infrastructure. The university emphasizes practical learning, industry exposure, and skill development to prepare students for successful careers. The diverse academic programs and supportive learning environment contribute to a well-rounded educational experience.Swami Vivekananda's teachings and philosophy have significantly impacted various educational and cultural initiatives at IIMT University.

Both events were done under the expert supervision of Dr. Deepa Sharma (Vice-Chancellor of IIMT), guided by Dr. V.P. Rakesh (the Registrar of IIMT University). They were organised by Dr. Neeraj Sharma (Dean DSW), coordinated by Dr. Sandeep Kumar (Director of Administration, Dr. Satish Kumar (Dean of SCM) and Dr. J.K. khushwaha (Dy. Registrar) with key support from Mrs. Asha yadav (Principal of Nursing) Mrs. Rachana Chaudhary (HoD of SoCSA) Ms. Harleen Gill (Training Manager) Dr. Manjitha (Assistant Professor of CoE) Dr. Bodi (Head of Lab) Dr. Gaurav Pradhan (Assistant Professor of SET) Dr. A.K.
