Interdisciplinary Research

IIIMT University is committed to fostering interdisciplinary research across multiple domains to address complex global challenges.

IIMT University emphasizes research, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration through its Research & Development (R&D) Cell. IIMTU regularly updates its research facilities and has well defined research promotional policies to promote interdisciplinary research. At IIMTU, the evaluation of interdisciplinary research projects is done by a research and development cell. It is based on a set of exact guidelines intended to ensure academic integrity, innovation, and use in real life. Key factors include the clarity and originality of the research problem, the extent of integration across multiple disciplines, and the coherence of the methodology in addressing complex issues. Projects are also evaluated according to their ability to contribute to scientific production, efficiency, and influence society. Additionally, collaboration among various departments, effective resource utilization, and alignment with sustainable development goals are emphasized. The feasibility of implementation, as well as the quality of expected outcomes and publications, further contributes to the overall assessment.

The Research and Development cell of IIMTU conducts periodic reviews and prepares annual reports on interdisciplinary research outcomes to assess progress, inform strategic planning, and demonstrate impact. These reviews are conducted biennially and integrated into the broader institutional magazine, The Chronicle. The annual reports of the R&D cell include data on research publications, patents published or granted, interdisciplinary grant funding, student engagement, research awards, and external collaborations, along with case studies that highlight successful projects. This report serves to evaluate the effectiveness of support structures, identify areas for improvement, and showcase how interdisciplinary initiatives contribute to academic innovation and societal impact.
