About School
The School of Life Science and Technology (SoLST) offers Undergraduate Degree courses in Biotechnology, Microbiology and Biology (Zoology, Biology) and Postgraduate level degree courses in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Botany and Zoology. Doctoral degrees in the fields of Biotechnology, Microbiology, Zoology and Botany are available. School of Life Sciences has a diverse community that increasingly works across boundaries and forges extensively to create skilled human resources. The School of Life Sciences is one of the major Schools of IIMT University, both in terms of research activity and quality teaching. The SoLST was established with a vision to engage with the real-world problems and produce an impact in fields as varied as; stress biology, environmental toxicology, plant-microbial interactions and biodiversity conservation. Teaching is strongly research-led and focused on developing the skills and employability needed by the next generation of innovators.

A well-balanced curriculum taught by qualified, experienced and skilled faculty members develops the desired knowledge in students to face the challenges of academics and industry. Continuous emphasis is given to making our laboratories well-equipped to meet the demands of rapidly changing research field. It is well said that if a good quality education is imparted to the students, it is assured that they will succeed in their lives and be placed at top positions in academics, research institutions and industries.
