Smart Village, Self-Reliant and Self-Sustainable Village

UNNAT BHARAT ABHIYAN is a flagship program of Government of India and started in 2014. IIMT University, Meerut is very firm regarding spreading the essence of Social responsibilities among the youth of the society, with this aim University has established the UBA cell in October-2022. The prime objective of the cell is SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIPS BY THE YOUTH AND FOR THE SOCIETAL UPLIFTMENT. The core objective of the UBA club is to align with the United Nations sustainable development goals and worked to achieve all the 17 goals. The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell (UBA Cell) at IIMT University, Meerut dynamically targets to use the skill and knowledge available in the university to improve the class and quality of rural life through innovation, eco-friendly and affordable technological interventions. 

IIMT University under the umbrella of UBA has organized various activities by its many schools which includes awareness camps, societal campaign, skits, workshops etc. for underprivileged section of the society and on different societal needs.

The UBA cell is aligned with University social responsibility cell of IIMT University to work in the fulfillment of the societal needs.

 

 

Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell of IIMT University has adopted five villages of Meerut district and they are:

  1. Kasatala Shamshernagar
  2. Bhawanpur
  3. Datawali-gesupur
  4. Andawali
  5. Pabla

Vision of UBA cell

Unnat Bharat Abhiyan cell is motivated by the vision of transformational changes in rural growth and expansion by connecting and utilizing the potential of IIMT University to rural areas to help, build & restructure and help towards the growth of India.

Mission of UBA Cell

Our mission is to create a righteous connection between rural society and a wide-ranging academic organization by providing knowledge, solutions and best practices for budding professions, to improve the capabilities and rural infrastructural development for  achieving the vision of IIMT university.

Main Objectives of the UBA cell are:

  1. To create linkage between the academia and rural cluster.
  2. To make a sustainable future by promoting SDGs.
  3. To serve the society with the aim of “सेवा परमोधर्मः”
  4. To provide solutions at grass root level to the underprivileged section of the society.
  5. To spread awareness among the children about their responsibility towards nature & nation, and to develop the attitude of Right Choice, Right Decision & Right Direction which aligns with the objective of UBA-IIMTU i.e. Smart Village, Self-Reliant and Self-Sustainable Village.

Functions of the UBA Cell

  1. To strengthen the UBA Cell of IIMT University.
  2. Design various workshops, seminars, awareness camps etc. in the natural or existing place.
  3. Facilitate the students to work on actual ground of society.
  4. Ensure various activities are conducted by all the schools of IIMT University.
  5. Ensure rural public engagements, students engagements in various activities organized by the cell.
  6. UBA cell ensures various activities should be organized to achieve SDG goals.
  7. UBA cell has tie up with Rotary clubs and Red Cross society for many social work.
  8. UBA cell enables  all the schools of university to work with and for rural population.
  9. To create process implementation system for sustainable development and innovative solutions.
  10. To plan process for effective implementation of various government programs and schemes for rural people.
  11. Regular meetings with the Gram panchayat sarpanch and Gram Pradhan.
  12. Awareness of Different Government schemes to the adopted by village people.
  13.  To contribute towards the adopted village Education hence, increasing the Literacy rate.
  14. Work on Gender equality and girl education.
