On April 24th, the B. Sc Microbiology II and III Year students from the School of Life Science and Technology at IIMT University, Meerut, participated in a fantastic outreach activity titled "Planet vs. Plastic: Raising Awareness for Earth Day."

This initiative, part of their University Social Responsibility (USR) and participative learning programs, took them to areas heavily affected by plastic disposal. Here, they engaged with local communities to discuss the serious health and environmental risks posed by plastic waste. Our dedicated students made a significant impact by educating the public on the harmful effects of plastic on our planet and personal health. They shared practical tips on reducing plastic usage and promoted sustainable alternatives. Their enthusiasm and commitment to making the Earth a better place were truly inspiring.
